It is better to dry clean cashmere clothes. But in fact gentile wash is also ok for it. There is wool wash grade in my washing machine so I wash my cashmere sweater with the wool wash grade. If you worry if it would damage it you can check the washing tag of the sweater and wash by the guide. If cashmere sweater is ditty with oil it is hard to clean it by water you need to use detergent.

1.Put some detergent on the oil stain when the clothes is dry.

2.Do not wash it at once, keep the detergent stay on the stain for about five moment. Then rub it gently until the stain is removed.

And it is better to suck the oil with tissue before the oil is absorb into the fibre.
