In the second half of 2015, the price of raw cashmere material has been dropped and many herders can’t harvest a better price in this year for keeping their raw cashmere a long time. To some extent it naturally influents the price of cashmere yarn but that cannot be a good explanation that some cashmere yarn suppliers cut down their yarn price by using inferior raw cashmere material to meet their customers on price.
Higher price generally is in line with superior quality. Price is not everything but can tell something. Cashmere is so luxury which is only from costly layer of plush goats, and these high-quality warm goats mainly grown in Mongolia and China. The amount of goats is limited and the output of raw cashmere immediately determines the price of cashmere yarn. And the impact of global warming on the production of raw cashmere is becoming more and more obviously in recent years.
This goat is highly dependent on the surrounding environment, colder temperatures will be better. And if the global climate continues to be warmer, both the production and texture of raw cashmere will decline. Currently, the Inner Mongolia and Mongolia's grassland desertification and overgrazing are more serious resulting in tens of millions of dead goats.
Luxury is always rare and hard. It’s a truth that cashmere is never cheap and the price will not be continuous dropping but naturally raising in future.
