Cashmere is a very precious natural fiber and its price is higher than many other fibers. Some illegal supplier take other fiber such as racoon or angora as cashmere to make more profit.

For those who is not familiar with cashmere, it is hard to distinguish cashmere from racoon. But in fact they are totally different.

Cashmere is from goat. It is the inner soft hair of the outer coarse hair of goat. While racoon is from racoon dog.

Cashmere fabric is very soft, smooth, and comfortable in feel. There is a layer of fluffy hair surface in cashmere fabric and the hair is curly.

Racoon fiber is also very soft but cashmere is softer. Racoon fabric is slightly different from cashmere fabric. Cashmere hair is curlier than racoon fabric. you can see the difference from the picture.
