Cashmere is fine in texture, strong, light, and soft. Garments made from it provide excellent insulation, warm in the winter and cool in the spring. One of the most sought. More about Cashmere
We use only the very best quality and finest possible cashmere fiber. The fiber, 14.5-15.5 microns with a staple length of 36-38mm, is blended with silk, combed into a top and hand spun by a semi worsted method into a fine yarn. The resulting yarns is very soft and has such a unique color. If you need a thicker yarn I would suggest knitting with 2 of the fine strands held together or contact me for a quote on a 3 ply yarn.
This yarn is suitable for wearing next to the skin and is especially suitable for knitting for baby as well as lace projects. It would be lovely spun in a lace weight for a scarf or a lightweight shawl, in Sport, DK or Worsted weight (try 2 strands of a lighter weight for worsted projects). Use it for sweaters, tops, hats and mitts, gloves, scarves, neck warmers, blankets or shawls, baby sweaters and baby blankets, almost anything you can dream up.
The cashmere and silk blend yarn is a huge vorite with my customers. It feels just heavenly going through your hands while working with it and is such a pleasure to wear. It is buttery soft and excellent for next to the skin projects and it wears so much better that just cashmere with the added strength. This yarn is lovingly handspun in my home studio on my Louet S45 and is comprised of two of the finest and most sought after fibers anywhere in the world, Silk and wonderfully soft and warm Cashmere.
